About Digiosk

Building the rails behind India's counters

Digiosk Technologies Private Limited has been building payment infrastructure for offline and online merchants since Dec 2019 — orchestration, bill payments and devices, developed as one stack rather than three products bolted together.

Our story

We started with a reconciliation problem

Digital payments in India were solved long before digital payment reporting was. Merchants ended up with a bank for cards, an aggregator for UPI, a separate device vendor, and four incompatible statements that somebody had to match by hand at the end of every month.

We built Digiosk to close that gap. The orchestration layer routes each transaction to the best available rail and tracks it until it settles. The reconciliation engine matches every payment back to the invoice that created it. The devices on the counter report into the same system as the checkout on the website.

Bill payments came next, because the same counter that takes a customer's money is the natural place for that customer to pay their electricity bill — and because the merchant earns on it. Today all three run on one platform, one dashboard, and one settlement account.

Vision

Empower merchants with 100% accuracy

To achieve total accuracy in reconciling end-of-day transactions for every merchant we serve, and to deliver it through solutions that stay simple, safe and secure no matter how large the deployment gets.

Mission

Secure solutions, one unified view

To create secure solutions that are genuinely easy to implement across every merchant category, and to give each of them a single unified view of their transactions backed by fully reconciled reports.

How we build

Three principles we do not trade away

01

Accuracy before scale

A payment platform that reconciles at 99% is a platform that generates disputes. We optimise for the last percent first, then scale what is provably correct.

02

Never hold the float

Money moves bank to bank. Keeping merchant funds on our balance sheet would make us a counterparty, and that is a risk our customers should not have to price.

03

Build for the worst network

A device that works in a lab is not a product. Our defaults assume patchy 4G, interrupted power and a counter that cannot stop to troubleshoot.

Bank, aggregator, enterprise merchant or distributor — if payments have to reach a counter somewhere in India, we would like to hear about it.
